How is the overall evaluation of a product done? What role does the evaluation of individual features play?

Applying a multiple regression analysis enables us to model the influence of individual parameters on the overall evaluation, in a way that is independent of how consumers consciously perceive the products. This is important since consumers’ answers tend to be distorted whenever they are asked to specify the importance of individual features.

With the help of this quantitative procedure, it is possible to make effect structures transparent which would otherwise remain hidden when reviewing the data as usual.
